AC/a’s Professional Surveyors completed Conservation Easement surveys of over 2,000 acres for the USDA/NRCS. The surveys, completed over a four-year period, provide the USDA/NRCS with accurate boundary mapping of large areas of wetlands and grasslands for enrollment in Conservation easements.

The overall project included parcels from 15 to 1,000 acres requiring boundary mapping and detailed easement surveys and detailed property descriptions according to NRCS/USDA specifications.

Each individual project had its own unique characteristics, including open water crossings, inaccessible corners due to inundation, wetlands and woods. This type of easement is granted by landowners to allow the USDA/NRCS to enforce restrictions that protect natural resources or water quality.

The projects required coordination with a number of individuals including NRCS, AC/a, and the property owners to identify the proper areas for enrollment and coordinate survey staking and mapping. AC/a provided a licensed surveyor for all contacts and project management along with site meetings to ensure that the needs of all parties were met.
