Engine Dyno Testing Facility
Polaris constructed a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. AC/a was contracted to design a new Dyno Facility for testing engines produced by Polaris. In addition to the four engine dynos, the facility also included a chassis dyno. AC/a designed the plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fuel piping, natural gas piping, compressed air piping along with the environmental monitoring system to ensure employee safety. Polaris is a leading producer of ATVs, motorcycles and other personal recreational vehicles. Polaris Industries, Monterrey, Mexico.
AC/a was asked to assist with decommissioning equipment located at an existing Polaris facility and to facilitate providing documentation to allow shipping through U.S. customs to Mexico. Additionally the project was on a very aggressive schedule.
AC/a collaborated with Polaris and numerous other contractors and consultants to provide a facility that met Polaris’ needs. Coordination with other building/construction operations was vital to the project’s success. A significant amount of contractors and subcontractors were coordinated to expedite the construction process.
